 I've been m.i.a. from my blog for quite some time, but now that I'm officially settled into my new found home in New York for the next month and a half, I'm ready to get up to speed.

Why am I in New York, you ask? I got accepted to be an intern in the fashion and jewelry closet of Marie Claire!

It's been an amazing experience so far, but I have to say my favorite part about the job has been some of the wonderful people I've met through it!

Now that you know why I'm here, I'll share with you a few hi-lites of my trip here thus far.

If clothes grew on trees, I'd be one happy girl. If money grew on trees...I'd be even happier. However; in a world where the most exciting thing I see in my trees is ratty old leaves and birds that use my car as their own personal toilet, I'm forced to hustle for the green.

I currently hold two jobs. One as a production assistant at Detroit's top news station, and the other...a waitress.

I've been slinging food for money since I was 15, and although the job has its ups and downs, I'd have to say there's a lot of humor that comes in hand with it,too.

So lately I've been on quite the home decor kick. I find myself already collecting pieces of furniture, old dishes, frames, and ornate thrifted mirrors. I've always had a vision in my mind of how I'd like my future home to look. I'm a huge fan of bright bold walls, gaudy vanities, elaborate decorations like chandeliers and mirrors, and a great big closet.
